From my 2005 Toronto interview with Dr. Morgentaler
15:00 Abortion deals with life where there’s no baby yet. A woman wants to terminate an embryonic development before this becomes a baby.
15:20 So this helps psychologically and physically as well because it’s much easier to do an abortion earlier than late.
16:15 Yes I believe their should be a limit placed on late abortions because at six, seven months the fetus looks like a baby, it has all it’s organs formed it’s just a matter of a few more months before it is delivered.
16:34 Usually what we say in our clinics to a woman after 24 weeks is it’s too late in another few months you’re going to have a baby. It’s too bad but the options are either keeping the baby or giving it up for adoption.
